My First Ever Gua Tempurung Tour!

Strikes with boredom at home because you got nothing to do?

Then, make your way to Gua Tempurung! You will get the most wonderful adventure apart from scratches and bruises on your body. I highly recommend this place for those who enjoy adventures.

Gua Tempurung is called after five domes that resemble coconut shape. It is the largest natural limestone cave that is situated in Gopeng, Perak. I wonder why I have never been there despite being a local. Thanks to Tisya, Sabrina and Farahin for dragging me there and I finally experienced it myself.

We took Tour 4, which brought us to 4 hours caving adventure that only costs us RM 30 per person. Personally, I think it is the most affordable adventure that I have ever experienced.

Without further ado, let’s zoom in to our exploration.

We started off by exploring the cave through 5 sections. The guider, named Iqlima explained to us in details about golden flowstone, stalagmite, stalactite and the five domes. I never stopped complimenting on how beautiful the inside cave is. You can see it for yourself from the video and the photos below!

                                         

The easy part of caving ended after those sections. After that, we need to depend on our headlamp to venture deeper inside the cave. This is where the adventure begins. Where things get tough. Tougher than Dwayne Johnson.

We need to slide down on steep slippery stones, climbing walls, crawling in a confined space underwater river, and even going into a dark hole. What’s even interesting is that you can see the heat emits from your body due to humidity.

                                          

All is well until I stumbled upon the biggest spider that I have ever seen in my life. I was totally freaked out because I have arachnophobia. But do not worry, I was still breathing fine.

Well, I was reluctant to put this picture but the readers must know how big the spider was!

We finished half of our journey when we saw the sun slipped through my fingers. I have never thought that I need sunlight so much in my life before. Then, we took a few photos for our memories and continued our caving adventure until we reached the outside of the cave. 

Overall, Gua Tempurung provides the best caving exploration for everyone that loves adventure so much. If I can make it outside of the cave, so do you!
